James Schmidt
President and CEO
James' responsibilities include strategic planning and corporate development, keeping an eye on the horizon for new opportunities and new markets. He is involved in overseeing the company's growth and driving shareholder equity. Prior to founding TDM, James studied at the University of California at San Diego, working with the CONNECT Program on Entrepreneurship, a consulting and support program for San Diego startups through UCSD. James has also started three other successful restaurants in the Seattle area. James grew up in the San Juan Islands with a large family that has been instrumental in the success of Taco Del Mar from the beginning. He is a passionate voice and advocate for the annual TS Walk fundraiser to benefit research for tubular sclerosis.
