John Nelson

Director of Purchasing and Distribution

John returned to Taco Del Mar in July 2004 after a five year stint at Sysco Seattle, where he was Director of Perishables Merchandising. He was involved with Co-founders James and John Schmidt almost from the beginning of Taco Del Mar. He was an early investor and a volunteer for several years when the company was just getting started. From 1995 through 1999 he served as president. Earlier in his career John worked for ARAMARK in San Francisco and Rock Resorts at locations in Wyoming and the Caribbean. John is currently responsible for food and beverage purchasing and distribution throughout the company’s entire North American system.
